BP Portrait Awards and the Ripple effect.

While BP is busy painting its' very own 'portrait in oils', and as worthy as the winners of the BP Portrait Awards no doubt are, please spare a thought for those artists who are doing their best to create a Ripple.

...and to think I nearly didn't..............

Having been working so hard in Corn Buck and the house needing cleaning etc., and what with all the failed attempts I have made at posting images at Illustration Friday , (my shortcomings, not theirs) I almost didn't bother to do this, but, now, I am so glad that I did.
I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to penelope dullaghan and brianna privett at Illustration Friday and to snorkblog, without whose patient advice, none of this would have been possible.

Continuing with the self imposed discipline, by participating in the Illustration Friday weekly challenge, 'Excess' was difficult, which is why it was posted so late.

Of course the obvious interpretation would have been me, lying in the gutter, with my favourite bottle of red but things aren't quite that bad yet and, besides, it would have to be a drain as we don't have gutters here and even I can't go there.
