my island life
marmite yes chocolate no,so not me!
I should, perhaps, have entitled this post, cultural differences, it was, after all, T's first taste of Marmite.
We grew up on Vegemite, and there's nothing nicer than fresh bread with a slab of butter and a thick smear of the black stuff. All our babies grew up on it. Maybe that's why those who haven't get such a shock when they taste it.Suggest he toughen up and keep trying.
In my opinion ONE taste of marmite is more than enough for eternity ;-)Poor guy - talkj about a taste shock
His first taste of Marmite? Every child here grew up being tormented by it...mothers mix it with warm water and tell us, drink it, it's good for you. ewww. Funny, I like it now. My fave Marmite sandwich, created by me,I think: toast, thinly spread Marmite, sliced tomatoes, chopped shallots, cucumber, sliced, and if you wish, a few specks of pepper [don't like too much, not me!]
If I had had the chance to warn him but then you know I see him thiefing so I decide to just grab the camera instead, GG, lOve the recipe, but don't expect no convert.
LOL he looked really shocked by the taste. Nice blog, by the way.
