Caught in the act.

The face
of
the thief
who
sneaked
a bite
of
my lunch,
mistaking
Marmite
for
chocolate
spread.

  3. We grew up on Vegemite, and there's nothing nicer than fresh bread with a slab of butter and a thick smear of the black stuff. All our babies grew up on it. Maybe that's why those who haven't get such a shock when they taste it.

Suggest he toughen up and keep trying.

  5. His first taste of Marmite?

Every child here grew up being tormented by it...mothers mix it with warm water and tell us, drink it, it's good for you. ewww. Funny, I like it now.

My fave Marmite sandwich, created by me,I think: toast, thinly spread Marmite, sliced tomatoes, chopped shallots, cucumber, sliced, and if you wish, a few specks of pepper [don't like too much, not me!]
