Mango Magic

After a morning spent weeding, there is nothing
quite like sucking on a Julie mango, in the shade.

  1. Aah, the abundance of mangoes! In the high mango season they lie everywhere under mango trees for everybody to pick. 3t from Las Casas de la Selva makes a yummy (originally Indian) mango pickle from unripe mangoes. They are mighty spicy so i usally save most of the spices and the oil in my pickle jar and put some very ripe mango as an encore. I call my concoction: the sweet heat of the tropics. Lol

  2. On a hot day, I put the mangoes in the fridge...deeelicious!

For something salty & spicy, we eat green mangoes with...guess what...salt and pepper.
